An A-class project constructed by Devilscolors. For this project Devilscolors started to explore the world of materials, 3-D structures and flag animations.
A mission to put in as many textures and material as possible in one marvelous 3-D animated art project.

Devilscolors really went all out on this one and tried to produce the coolest artificial art piece ever made, containing a custom made Crystal Madness Productions factory building in a Crystal snow world. Goal was to create a series of 4 very cool animated Crystal snow flags and let someone plant a flag by air on top of the Crystal factory within 2 seconds. After a lot of headaches and extractions, We just did it. Devilscolors really got into FLOW and to top off the project ended up editing in an ice cold “GAME OVER” sign and managed to make it snow for REAL!!

This project was one of the biggest ever, rendered the heck out off our system and literally took ice ages to build.

* This artwork contains over a 100 different materials. Digitally designed: icepeaks, glass windows, wooden elements, stone structures, a modern factory hall with sign, a flag containing cloth material. Even animated real snow and puddles of water in front of the car park.

* To make the factory look legit an entrance and exit were created. Two luxury Crystal shops with PVC frames, big windows, entrance logo sign and wooden arches. It really looks like you can just step inside the building.

* The windows are a double 3-D structure. one with an extracted plain side and one with a reflecting compartment which are fitted together to make the glass look authentic. The frames are edited PVC materials constructed and accomplished by UV-mapping.

* A Crystal landscape with blue icy peaks and sharp edges was structured to form the Crystal Snow Planet’s background. It had to look mean, sharp, dangerous and icecold. Not like any human habitat.

* Devilscolors animated 4 Crystal flags with authentic Dutch poles in 4K with pretty looking snowflakes and edited the rendered images with sound into a sharp digital piece of art.
